What do you do?

We are looking for a strong, pragmatic Accounting & Reporting Lead to join the exciting journey of Quin. The MVP app has been launched in February 2020 and the first GP practices joined Quin Dokters with much more on the way. Now is the time to set up strong and stable finance processes which can support and accommodate the strong growth and buy-and-build strategy. In this new position you report to the Head of Finance and work closely together with the Business Controller, IT, Business Development, Operations and the newly acquired GP practices in their onboarding and as a day to day liaison.

You are in the lead to set up, manage and lead the complete Accounting & Reporting function from the coordination of the 3rd party transactional accounting activities, periodic closing & (consolidated) reporting processes to setting up the intercompany structure, (selection and implementation) of tooling, internal controls, compliance & fiscal responsibilities. Both on Quin platform (tech development) as well as on Quin Dokters level. Quin aims to unburden the GP practices of their non-patient related activities by setting up a Back Office & Intelligence (BOI)structure, in which you will have a leading role in defining the structure and tooling. Most of the transactional accounting activities are now outsourced to an external accounting firm, for which you will be the liaison validating & coordinating their work and managing ad hoc issues.

Quin aims to set up the accounting & reporting function in a scalable manner for which they need a strong, senior accounting & reporting Lead who has a strategic view. However, since Quin is a scale-up, when necessary you will also be dealing with a lot of accounting topics yourself, such as revenue control & recognition, payments, P&L/BS account reconciliation, until we are able to grow the finance team as the growth of Quin continues. Therefore we need somebody with a hands-on, pragmatic mentality and with the potential to set up, manage and develop a team in the future.

Who are you?

We are looking for a strong financial with a strategic & agile mindset. You have a good technical background, strong communication skills and a business minded approach. You are able to build strong relationships and can liaise with, challenge and motivate internal and external stakeholders. Drive, eagerness and adaptivity is key, since no day (or hour) within Quin will be the same.

“Since Quin is so dynamic and we are really building up scalable, strong processes from scratch, we are looking for somebody with the right attitude. We need somebody who takes ownership, combines a strategic view with pragmatic day to day solutions, can create mature structures and likes to be the go-to person for all sorts of different finance matters. Even if it is something you never encountered before, you manage it. You are proactive in deep diving into topics and know when, how & who to involve in different projects. Quin is building up a new, innovative company and business model, which enables you to make a huge impact by joining the ride early and building the foundation for further growth.”

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Economics or Accountancy
  • Min. 5-8 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager or Auditor, preferably in a high growth, innovative company
  • Strong Excel skills, experience and/or affinity with latest (cloud based) tooling used in all aspects of accounting & reporting
  • Strong communicator in Dutch & English; able to build bridges, motivate and coach others
  • Experience with implementations, transitions and/or process improvement projects would be a very strong plus
  • Able to prioritize, manage & track multiple activities and tasks and working with tight deadlines
  • Knows how to find the root cause of problems and be part of the solution
  • Ambitious, innovative, energetic, fun, curious

More about Quin

Quin is a fast-growing digital healthcare provider with physical practices, that supports patients and GPs in choosing the right care at the right time.

Quin does this by providing personal, reliable and data-driven medical advice on urgency, diagnosis and treatment options. The medical knowledge and expertise of general practitioners and medical specialists are always central to this. Quin connects patients and GPs on the Quin platform, via the Quin Consumer app for patients and the Quin Pro platform for GPs.

Quin Doctors are GP practices connected to the Quin platform. In these GP practices Quin delivers standard high-quality care and works together with GPs, care personnel and patients on primary healthcare innovation. That’s how Quin continues to find new ways the platform can improve healthcare. Aside from digitalising care where possible, Quin helps GPs spend more time on patient care by unburdening them of all their non-patient related activities.

At Quin and Quin Doctors, a patient can experience the entire care path, both digitally and physically: from the onset of a medical complaint to diagnosis and indication for possible treatment. Quin ultimately aims to improve general health awareness, reduce unnecessary doctors’ visits and improve overall diagnosis accuracy. This should make our healthcare system more sustainable while maintaining or even improving the quality of care.

Working at Quin means every day will be different. In their inspiring brand new office in Amsterdam Overamstel you will be part of an enthusiastic, highly motivated and international team. This digital health scale-up breathes entrepreneurship, energy, pragmatism and a strong “can do, will do” atmosphere. Passionate, strong professionals who believe in the added value Quin could bring and who strive to make a lasting impact on the healthcare industry. Aiming for the best care and quality treatment for the patient using the smartest innovations we have today.
