What do you?

We are looking for an analytical and tech savy Business Controller to strengthen the finance team of NTT. NTT is a global technology services company and they are here to enable the connected future. In this position, you will have the chance to develop yourself into a strong, well-rounded financial within a very dynamic and internationally operating company. You will be part of the control team, where you report to the Manager Control & Procurement and will work closely together with your 3 colleagues and the business.

As the Business Controller, you contribute to the periodic reporting of the entire core tech business of NTT. First of all during the period end by reviewing the month end close, where you discuss any variance with the manager Control and the business to really understand why there are variances. You present a clear cut analyses of actuals vs budget, look into the details and are curious to discover the story behind the numbers. You will also contribute to the (rolling) forecast & budget cycle, making sure the BU budgets are well founded and feed into the consolidated budget.

Besides your responsibilities during the periodic cycle, you actively support in ad hoc financial and analytical analyses & reporting. This can be either within a specific business unit, commercial or functional topic. You will deep dive into the data and are able to translate this to actionable business insights, using visuals and dashboards in PowerBI. Also you support the CFO and Manager Control in various reporting requests, projects, Internal Control Framework and improvement processes.

You focus on improving the Forex trading, by continuous cash forecasting and appropriate anticipation. This process will be transitioned from South Africa to be integrated on a local level, where you will be in the lead for advising on cash management.

Good to know

Because of the dynamics at NTT, no day is the same. You could be having a meeting with the Senior Business Controller and the Sales Director to discuss the monthly P&L and pipeline, explaining the trend and key drivers. The next day you are improving the cash forecasting and advise the CFO on hedging dollars, or you are set up a dashboard which reflects the predictability of the stock vs goods sold.

You are an ambitious and entrepreneurial financial and eager to learn. You thrive in an international setting and drive continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration

  • 2 – 4 years of experience within Audit, (Financial) Control or Financial Analyst, preferably in an international environment

  • Strong analytical skills, understanding data, data flows and trends

  • Experience and/or affinity with treasury is a strong advantage

  • (Strong) knowledge of Excel, experience and/or affinity with ERP and reporting (PowerBI) tools

  • Excellent communication skills in English & Dutch

  • Eager, ambitious and team oriented

  • Ability to adapt quickly, approachable personality, critical yet constructive and positive approach
