Eager and talented Business Controller - Parcom
What do you do?
HEMA, Euroma, Royal Huisman, Group of Butchers, Euramax and recently Hunkemöller; just a few of the many market-leading partner companies of Parcom. With over €1.5B capital under management, Parcom is a leading mid-market Private Equity firm in the Netherlands. They are looking for an analytical Business Controller who has the stakeholder management skills and intellectual capacity to support their ambitious, top-tier team. In this position you report to the CFO and work closely together with the Financial Controller, the Chief of Staff/Investor Relations and deal teams.
Jointly with the Financial Controller, you will have full ownership of the periodic reporting cycle within Parcom. You co-create the Mid Term Planning, forecast and budget for Parcom and will be responsible for the periodic management reporting, analysis and advise on variances and consequences thereof. You manage the quarterly and ad hoc LP/Investor reporting and will be actively involved in the annual reporting process providing input for the financial statements of the funds (such as comments on variances). You will assist the business by giving them insights on fund performance and you will assist in the quarterly private equity valuation process (incl. documentation).
In addition to the aforementioned recurring reporting responsibilities, there will be ad hoc requests and queries coming your way, which can be within a very broad spectrum of Finance. These range from assisting the portfolio team with various analysis to creating dashboards, slides and commentary for Investor Relations reporting.
Good to know
In this position we expect you to proactively review existing processes with a critical eye and initiate ideas for more efficient ways of working. By either creating a new, more in depth reporting deck of business KPI’s or looking into new (web based) tooling to streamline certain financial processes.

Master degree in Finance, Economics or Accountancy or related field
At least 2-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Reporting Specialist, Fund Controller or similar
Experience within a financial institution or financial services is a strong plus
Proven affinity and interest in private equity, investments and/or corporate finance
Tech savvy and strong IT skills, especially Excel
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
Analytical, eager to know what drives the figures and what the business impact is
Grounded, approachable personality, critical yet constructive and positive approach
Exceptional stakeholder management, planning and organizational skills
