FP&A Specialist - fast paced & international environment with a lot of opportunity to develop analytical skills
What do you do?
We are looking for a proactive and bold FP&A specialist to strengthen the FP&A team of Deloitte NL. In this newly created position, you will report to the FP&A Manager and work closely together with the Business Control team. You provide the management and leadership team with actionable insights to support them in assessing the business performance and strategic decision making.
As the FP&A specialist, you prepare the periodic management reporting on Deloitte NL level into the NSE (North South Europe) region, including commentary on the variances. The Business Controllers provide you with management reporting based on the performances of their business lines (Audit, Consultancy, Financial Advisory, Risk Advisory and Tax and Legal). You review the results and challenge your colleagues on their analyses and comments, unravelling the true story behind the numbers. On consolidated (NL) level, you do in-depth analysis on key business drivers and performance metrics and translate the outcomes into business insights to drive the performance. You investigate variances against budget, analyse the full P&L, connecting the figures with operational and commercial KPI’s. Together with the FP&A Manager, you present the observations and conclusions to the Finance Management Team and discuss the results with the CFO and COO. Furthermore, you will prepare the periodic budget and forecast for Deloitte NL, while always looking for opportunities to improve the process and make it more efficient.
GOOD TO KNOW...
As part of the recently formed North South Europe region (NSE), an international relationship between several Deloitte offices (creating synergy, efficiency and opportunity to share best practices) you will have a lot of exposure to improvement projects for Deloitte NL. For example related to the utilization of the ERP system, where you will explore new possibilities for dashboards (e.g. MyDashboard for Managers that will give insights in KPI tracking per team or dashboards for cost reporting). You will take ownership from start to finish: from researching the requirements and liaising with IT colleagues to testing with the business.
Who are you?
You are an ambitious, data driven and analytical financial. You thrive in a commercial setting, actively drive continuous improvement and you are extremely action minded. You are challenged by creating accurate business insights from complex data and really making an impact on the business performance.
“Deloitte is a dynamic, fast-paced and multicultural environment, it’s our intention to be “best in class” in everything we do. This requires everyone to be very eager and aim for the best. To be successful within Deloitte, you need to be an open communicator with a “can-do attitude”. You bring a certain confidence; both in skills and experience, as well as in your ability and (even more important) willingness to learn. But most of all, you approach everything you do with the same positive energy and drive. With this mindset, many doors will open for you!”
