Head of Corporate Administration & Cost Controlling
Who are you?
We are looking for an ambitious and confident Head of Corporate Administration & Cost Control who wants to continue their steep learning curve. Now is a very interesting phase to join, since ERIKS is in transition focussing on centralisation synergies, (digital) innovation and implementing best practices. Reshaping the structure of and processes within the Corporate Accounting Team is part of this transition, which will be your primary focus! In this position you report to the Manager Corporate Reporting & Accounting and will be leading a team of 4 colleagues within accounting. You will be managing the more complex issues yourself, manage the relations with senior management within ERIKS on all accounting issues and will be responsible for the final review, management and statutory reporting. The team manages most of the day to day accounting and your senior holding accountant will be the “first line of defense” for adhoc issues and/or queries. Giving you room to identify process improvements and automatization opportunities in all aspects of the core finance processes, for example within the procurement or declaration process & module, implementation of new tooling or streamlining the intercompany processes. You will set up the business case including roadmaps, solutions, budget and timelines and will implement these yourself, setting up a (small) project team, aligning internal stakeholders and/or working together with a 3rd party when necessary.
Furthermore you lead the budgeting process for all cost centers. Within ERIKS NV and Digital there are appr. 70 cost centers. Some of the larger cost centers, such as Procurement or Supply Chain have dedicated Controllers. You work closely with them making sure their budget is well founded and adds up to the group’s budget. For other group functions, such as the Board, Legal, HR, Finance, IA & Compliance, you will be responsible for the cost control process yourself. You work closely together with Group Functional Leaders in setting up a solid budget, supporting them by calculating, translating and understand financial implications of OPEX & CAPEX decisions. You report on and analyse the monthly performance of actuals vs. budget and discuss these variances with Group Functional Leaders on a monthly basis.
In this position the focus on delivering process improvements is key. Analysing the current set-up, questioning the status quo and being pro-active in proposing, and subsequently implementing improvements, together with the team.
