What will you do?

After the acquisition by Parcom in 2020, Euramax is implementing a new strategy focused on business growth and strengthening its internal processes. As the Manager Finance & Accounting you will play an important role in this journey. You will contribute to the (re)design and automation of the accounting processes and will set up strong controls and qualitative reporting. In this position you report to the CFO, you have a strong working relationship with the BU Controllers and you are the go-to person for the business on all accounting/finance topics. You manage a team of 4 colleagues within Accounting. You coordinate the activities of the team and also take the time to coach them so they continue to develop themselves.

Together with your team you manage the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for Euramax and the underlying Business Units. The team manages the recurring accounting activities and you support and guide them when necessary. The more complex accounting topics you manage yourself. You coordinate the month-end close and are responsible for the annual statutory reporting, including all fiscal matters, and the periodic internal reporting. You perform a first analytical review (budget vs. actuals / Y-on-Y) and explanation of movements in P&L and balances in B/S accounts. To do this, you are in close contact with the business and will share your insights with the Business Unit Controllers and CFO.

Euramax is in the midst of a transition towards a BU structure and separation into 2 legal entities. Therefore, your first focus will be to redesign the underlying financial accounting and reporting structures, amongst others set up a separate P&L structure and intercompany process. All with the continuous focus on process improvements, automated interfaces and strong internal controls.

You will play a leading role contributing to the ambition of working smarter initiating and implementing process improvements , optimizing the interfaces and potential of the financial, ERP & Analytics tooling, embedding strong controls , driving cost efficiency , improving management reporting processes up to the financial integration of (future) acquisitions. And subsequently train and educate the business and your team on (new) tooling and/or process changes.

Who are you?

You are a pragmatic and self-starting financial. You bring a strong technical accounting
background, want to understand the details and have a track record in implementing
process improvements. You strategically review the core finance processes and make use of
the potential that (new) tooling or methodologies can bring.

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 10+ years relevant working experience, of which at least 2+ years as Finance Manager, Manager Accounting & Reporting or as team lead/senior Accountant.
  • Experience in manufacturing is a must
  • Experience in M&A, fiscal matters and/or a PE owned organisation is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Solid technical finance background including related tooling; able to understand and structure the core financial processes, setup a control framework and build robust, (where possible) automated, scalable processes
  • Experience with coordinating, coaching and/or managing a finance team
  • Grounded, pleasant personality, critical yet constructive and positive approach
